The strategy of the JOLISAA project relies on five interlinked thematic Work Packages (Fig. 1, Table 1.2a):
Figure 1: Global interactions among thematic WPs
Notes : WP titles are simplified (see complete title in Table 1.2.a); Double-arrows indicate an iterative process, whereas simple arrows indicate an output. The feedback from WP5 to WP4 indicates that WP5 products will be duly shared & disseminated. WP6 (Management & Coordination) has not been drawn, it interacts with all thematic WPs
Interdependent WPs reflect the fact that real-life multistakeholder innovation processes are highly iterative. Concretely, this means that the outputs of a task developed in one WP will frequently be used as inputs for a task in another WP, and vice versa. It also means that key events and activities conducted during the project lifetime will be multipurpose by design, i.e. they will contribute to achieving simultaneously objectives, milestones and/or deliverables of several WPs (Figure 2). The effectiveness of this structure will derive from the fact that key individuals in the different partner institutions will contribute to several WPs, ensuring backward and forward linkages between activities.
